  The title claims that this filter is "by Dirt Devil." The picture shows a filter by Dirt Devil (green label & writing on top). But what was shipped was a knockoff by Crucial Vacuum.   Unlike certain other Dirt Devil owners, I checked the make and model number on my sweeper before ordering this filter. It works just fine! If you have one of the models above, don't hesitate to buy this filter.Amazon made this purchase easy. The store in which I bought my Dirt Devil, a large national chain featuring appliances and linens, stopped carrying filters for bagless vacuum cleaners.   After reading the previous reviews, I realized that the three of them all made the same mistake. They didn't check to make sure the filter would be compatible with the year and model of their cleaners.When I decided to buy my filter, I checked www.DirtDevil.com, looked at the sticker at the bottom of my vacuum, and checked three more sites. I only made my purchase after I was positive that I had the correct part. Apparently, the other reviewers did not.Before purchasing anything, make doubly sure it's the correct item.   Fits loosely on a Dirt Devil Featherlite

  I placed this on a my Dirt Devil Featherlite, which specifies OEM replacement filter #2-JC0280-000. Compared to the original filter, this one did not have a tight seal to the vacuum cleaner - it literally flopped about. Without a tight seal, some of the air passes under the filter rather than thru it. I lined the bottom of the filter with duct tape, and managed to get a tighter seal. With the filter alteration, the vacuum cleaner seems to perform well now, or at least somewhat better than it did with the 11-month old original OEM filter.I have not tried to wash this filter, so I've no comment to make concerning how it holds up to washing. 3/5 Maryland Customer (Maryland, USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)   Great for the price

  I am satisfied with the generic dirt Devil F1 filter. My only complaint is that the filter didn't seat well in the dirt collection container. In order to make it filter the air being pulled into vacuum i added several wraps of painters tape inside the dirt container where the filter connects.   I've died and gone to heaven!

  First let me say that I have a dog and 3 little girls with very thick hair. My family makes a lot of dust and sheds a lot of hair. I vacuum once a week, and I can clog up a HEPA filter in one use. It's ridiculous. The disposable filters at Wal-mart are $20 each. Vacuuming was going to bankrupt me. I purchased two of these at $5.95 each. I was skeptical about the "washable/re-usable" claim, but at $5.95 a piece I wouldn't be heartbroken if it turned out that the filters were only good for one use.Let me just say, "Wow!!!" I haven't even taken the second one out of the packaging yet! I rinse the filter out after every use in the kitchen sink with the sprayer and leave it out to dry. By the time I'm ready to vacuum again the next week; it's dry and just like new. The filter fits tightly on my Dirt Devil Breeze, and it feels really durable. I expect it will last a very long time.   I purchased one filter for $5.95. I was not sure about the "washable/re-usable" statement, but at $5.95 how could I go wrong.   GREAT Purchase!!

  When I received this filter, I put it in my machine and it fit perfectly. This is 100x less expensive than Wal-mart and the original Hoover filter. When I compared this to my old filter, these filters feel much more sturdy. The fact that I can wash and reuse it will save me money in the long-run. Any savings in my pocket is appreciated!   NOT Original Dirt Devil Filters

  I received the two air filters and they are not original Dirt Devil HEPA filters. I tried one filter and it is not correct since the vacuum does not work with it (loss of suction, burning smell from the vacuum, and the filter has a plastic coating which feels completely different from the regular "paper" feel of the filter I bought in the store last year).   Very good quality name brand filter

  I was reluctant to purchase the Honeywell filter for my Dirt Devil because of the review stating it was shipped in white paper. I ordered two, both came in the standard Honeywell packaging pictured, so I was very glad about that. These filters used to be sold by Walmart for about $20. The filters are much better quality than the ones Walmart is selling now (Arm & Hammer) for the same $20. These Honeywell filters are the closest ones I have found to the originals and they are good for one year as opposed to six months for Arm & Hammer filters.   I tried other filters offered in my local store before finding this one on Amazon. I had used this brand before and liked it best, but it was no longer available in my local shopping spots.   Terrific Performer and Outstanding Value

  Approximately three years ago, my $200 Eureka vac finally stopped working and I purchased the featherlite to replace it. At that time I lived in a 1,400 sf apartment. Now I live in a 2,500 sft home.For the past three years, this vacuum has served our family well. Pros:1. Inexpensive. $40 or less in most places.2. It picks up dirt, fuzz (and legos) as well or better than any other vacuum I've ever used. Really. Just change the bag when it gets full.3. Light weight. It's very easy to manuver and my younger kids can use it.4. Simplicity. This is a basic vac. It's easy to change the bag, wind the cord, and pull hair/crud out of the roller if necessary.5. It's got a bag. This is a personal preference, but every bagless upright I've ever used creates a small dust storm when you empty it. The bag system on this one works well.Cons:1.   works fine after a year

  I was suprised to see that some of the other reviews portray this vacuum as useless. I bought mine from Target a year ago and it works wonderfully. Only complaints is that it's still pretty 'clunky' to carry around and that when you want to use the attachments it's hard to get the hose out. I've gone through a Shark brand vacuum that broke after 2 uses and an Orek XL that ate it's own cord but couldn't pick up Cheerios that my daughter spilled.   Can suck the chrome off a trailer hitch but breaks

  UPDATE After about 5 Months the part of the hose that connects to the motor ( see my pic) has had a piece break off that locks on the little peg; and now the end of the hose has a vertical crack in it where the attachments would connect. My concern all along after assembling this was the durability factor.I have a rainbow canister that I have decided to retire do the intensive assembly required for its operation. You have to fill the tank with water then place it it's caddy, place the motor on top of tank and then attach the hose from the power head to the motor. Then do the reverse to empty the water from the tank. So I decided to get an upright that you can just plug in and go.I'm not sold yet on the bag less uprights so I decided to go with the old tried and true one's with a bag.
