  Disappointing

  After being very pleased with an earlier model of this vacuum (I used it so much that it eventually wore out), I thought the more powerful 15.6 V model would be even better. What a disappointment. They have change the air flow, filter, collection arrangement in such a way that this unit has very poor suction. It drives me nuts. About the only thing it is good for is dust on a smooth surface (i.e. it will not drag fluff off carpet). I wouldn't waste my money on this one. What a pity.   Great little vac

  This is a great little hand vac.I'm a stay at home dad with a toddler running around ask day with goldfish and cheerios in the living room.this vac not only picks up the large pieces off the foor, but the crushed up grinded in slobbered on mess as well. The only thing holding me back from giving it a5 star review is the charging base, and the built in crevice tool. First off the base when attached to the wall seems up side down. You feel like its just barely hanging on waiting to slam on the floor at first little vibration, but mine is mounted right beside the dryer and hasn't budged yet. It feels like it should be the other way and it would sit better, but I really can't complain, it haven't fallen yet. The built in crevice tool works great, its just a little awkward to get in place. It needs to be sporting loaded so that when you press the button it pops up.   great piece of equipment

  This hand vac easily beats out an old 4.8V dustbuster hand vac. The battery life and suction power is more than ample to clean up everyday spills and messes. With 2 little kids, it makes clean up after meal time a breeze. I'm very happy with the product.UPDATE:My wife and I have been using this same hand vac for 2-2.5 years now on a daily basis.   Where is the power?

  The Dirt Devil starts off great, but it relies on a single, relatively expensive replacement filter. After a few minutes of use, it was clogging itself.I bought this product and the Black and Decker Dust Buster CHV 1400 at the same time from Amazon. The Black and Decker is not only a better product but cheaper at initial price and in the long run. The B&D picks up broken glass and spilled rice without issue, and relies on multiple cleaning features, that just need a dump in the trash. Much longer time before you have to replace the expensive disposable filter. Better battery life, and power. The dirt devil's only advantage is that is comes in silver and sleeker.The B&D is by far the better product.I am updating this review now 3 years later. The Vac still works fine, just used it today. So upping this to 4 stars. $40 product lasting 3 years, got to be something said about that. Howerver still like the traditional vacs better like the B&D. 4/5 Jeffrey S.   Powerful but a few cons

  I purchased the vacuum through Amazon. It is indeed a powerful handheld vacuum. Cons: the replacement filters are expensive $5 each, plus postage and you can only get them through Dirt Devil. Then you also need an adaptor, $2, for the filters. The filters are paper, clog up very quickly, and are not cleanable. The retractable nozzle is very handy but swivels on two very small plastic nibs/arms. One of these arms broke just two months after I got the vacuum and Dirt Devil says I now have to purchase the entire front "cup" for $9, I cannot just purchase the swivel arms. If I had known the cost of the filters and that they do not last very long, and that the nozzle arms are not very durable(it is a poor design), I would not have purchased the vacuum. Too expensive to maintain.P.S. I did get the front cup, so I could use the swivel arms, Dirt Devil did not charge me, this was covered under warranty. That surprised me.   AWESOME

  This 14 volt handheld vacuum is awesome. It picks up anything and everything in its path. It even has the capability to pick up crumbs and dirt in between my sofa and in my car seats. It's cordless so I can take it anywhere.   Love this vacume

  I use it constantly several times a day. Love the easiness with the flip thingy on the top. It secures firmly and doesnt releease unless you move the button. I empty it every time and it doesn't blow cat hair out of it when it's on. It's a huge imporvement from the last thing we used.   I have purchased Dirt Devil cleaning products in the past and haven't been happy...UNTIL NOW. The Dirt Devil MO9444 Vacuum Cleaner is AMAZING! I use it for everything because it can take on any challenge! It has extreme suction power, makes pick-up quicker, and is super easy to clean.
