  hard to find filter

  I looked all over for this filter and couldn't even get it at Target where I bought the vacuum cleaner. Finally I looked for it at Amazon and was thrilled to get it for a really good price through the Amazon Marketplace. I received the item promptly and in good condition. As far as I can tell, it's exactly the same as the filter that came with the vacuum. I am very happy with it.   Does what it is supposed to

  I bought this twice from amazon. About a year time period in between. They seemed like different filters but they both worked good. You are supposed to buy it every 6 months but I go a year and it still works properly. I liked the first one I bought because it had a place to put when you bought it so you knew when you need to change it.   Mysterious problem with handle (SOLVED!)

  I just bought one of these locally tonight and when I assembled it the handle would not stay up as it should- the weight of the hose or even the cord would bring it down. I took off the 6 screws to access the belt and beater- everything looked fine so I put the cover back on. No improvement- the handle would still drop down. Well, I used it some more and guess what- the handle now stays in place. (The manual says that you may have to step on the front of the vacuum to be able to lower the handle which lead me to believe that there had been something wrong.)I already have a good vacuum but it is such a hassle to drag out that I was looking for something light and quick. One advantage not already mentioned: if you need to check to see if something important got sucked up (my wedding ring is gone!) you can do that without having to tear open a vacuum bag.   A pain to empty out

  While I initially liked this vacuum for its good value and its features (detachable hose, brush, etc) it sure is a pain to have to clean out. One - dump the contents via the quick release hatch. Two - unscrew the top and pull out large chunks from the HEPA filter. Three - pull apart the chamber and remove the debris from the inner mesh filter. Then all of that stuff get's into the air and into your lungs. If you don't do any of those things, you lose valuable suction power.   Nothing complicated here--these vacuum belts were easy to install and are strong enough to endure some fairly rough vacuuming--even items that were accidentally vacuumed--and I expect to get a lot of use out of them between replacements. 5/5 J.   Not same as the picture shown (which refers to original part). This is an aftermarket part but it works. 3 stars because it is not as good as original part - chokes quickly, does not fit 100% snugly.
