  The title claims that this filter is "by Dirt Devil." The picture shows a filter by Dirt Devil (green label & writing on top). But what was shipped was a knockoff by Crucial Vacuum.   Unlike certain other Dirt Devil owners, I checked the make and model number on my sweeper before ordering this filter. It works just fine! If you have one of the models above, don't hesitate to buy this filter.Amazon made this purchase easy.   After reading the previous reviews, I realized that the three of them all made the same mistake. They didn't check to make sure the filter would be compatible with the year and model of their cleaners.When I decided to buy my filter, I checked www.DirtDevil.com, looked at the sticker at the bottom of my vacuum, and checked three more sites. I only made my purchase after I was positive that I had the correct part. Apparently, the other reviewers did not.Before purchasing anything, make doubly sure it's the correct item. And if you aren't 100% positive, do some reasearch.   This SUCKER really SUCKS!!! (in the best possible way)

  I apologize for the length of this "review". In the process of deciding which model of hand vac to buy, I ran into a number of confusing issues.First, before this purchase (of 2 hand vacs), I have never bought any hand held vac that was NOT a Black & Decker DUST BUSTER. I suppose that is because they were the first to have a cordless/rechargeable hand vac, and inertia took over when it came time for me to replace them. By the time the thrill of having that first rechargeable hand held vac wore off, there were other companies making hand held vacs, but I stuck with B&D's DB's. I cussed them out over various things - mostly they just weren't very good. There were few choices of model; the accessories from one generation didn't fit the next generation even when the next generation came on the market with no accessories (dust brush, crevice tools, etc.). This was one of the few times in my life I put up with any serious product dissatisfaction.   Works very well but does *not* feel secure on the wall mount

  This is a very nice little vacuum. I keep it in my garage, near the entrance from the kitchen, and use it for small jobs like cleaning the kids' crumbs off the car seats and floors, sucking up bugs and spiderwebs from the garage wall, cleaning food crumbs from crevices in the kitchen, and removing dust and crumbs from my computer keyboards and monitors. It has a small retractable brush that is very useful for car cleaning, and a plastic nozzle that can flip forwards to extend the reach, which is good for cleaning things high up and sucking up bugs.Apparently this device has a smart charger which does not simply keep the battery at full charge all the time but optimizes the recharging to extend the battery life. I have certainly not noticed any deterioration in the battery in the several months I have owned this vacuum.Opening the device to empty out the dirt is easy.   The filter works as intended, and is exactly the same as the name brand model. They are getting harder and harder to find in stores and at the time I purchased were much more expensive at the vacuum manufacturer's website. I use it with my Dirt Devil upright model 130005 (red), and have never had any issues.   Great Product BUT some important "catches"

  I purchased the Dirt Devil Rampage for a pool approx 15' x 36' and have used it several times. It is quite light to handle, very easy to use and does a GREAT cleaning job. However before my purchase I wish I had known that:(1) it gets "hung up" on my Hayward SPX-1048 drain covers (about 1.5" high). It becomes stuck and must be pulled off the drain cover in order to continue its work. This inhibits unsupervised cleaning and appears to disrupt the Robot's tracking of the areas it has cleaned. The solution recommended by Hayward Tech Solutions is to purchase Drain Covers (at approx $70 each). I need 2 and I am not impressed!!(2) the Dirt Devil brand was a consideration in my purchase. I paid approx $980 for the Rampage. Upon receipt of the product I see much of the product's documentation is for the Aqua Vac Systems Tiger Shark pool robot which, I now discover, is identical to the Rampage but costs only $899. I cannot even find the Rampage product on Dirt Devils website.   Works great...until you need a part

  I bought a Dirt Devil because my local pool store recommended it (ironically, because the manufacturer is nearby so it should be easy to get problems addressed). It worked great, cleaning my in-ground pool at least as well as my old Aqua-Bot. It climbed the walls and took care of everything except the stairs, and there was no diaper to clean out and wash after every use (YAY). But, while using the spring cleanup filters (non-rigid), an acorn got past the filters and broke the little plastic fan on top (the thing that expels water at the top, which creates the suction). This happened after less than a year and my pool store has been trying to get the part for more than a year now...with no success. He says he has another customer he's also been unable to get a part for since last summer (and this is a small store in a rural area). So now there are at least two of us in a small NH town with a very expensive paperweight sitting out in the back yard.   I had an Aquabot that after several years had to be replaced. I wish I would have went with another Aquabot. The Dirt Devil dosen't climb the walls, the rubber comes off its track while cleaning and parts are hard to find.   This thing is perfect! The things I looked for when shopping for my first auto vac were:1) Length of cord - plenty of legnth. DON'T EVER GO FOR A WIRELESS AUTO VAC! The suction power dies, and eventually, you'll have 5 minutes of good suction per charge. The cord for this vac is too long - and that's a good thing. Of course you'll need a cigarette lighter input, which all cars should have. I am able to reach the back of my Scion tC with ease and extra cord available. And if you know anything about tC's, they are small cars so you big car owners should have no problem at all.2) Suction power - Since this is a wired-type, there's no need to worry about loss of suction power. With 12V, this thing will clean up your car pretty nicely.   Wow! That's the one I was looking for!

  It's the third vacuum cleaner I have experience with. First one was cheap and useless even it was plugged in cigarette lighter it never could pick up any dirt, the second was the same but wireless with 3 minutes of full suction and 2 minutes of slow death (30 min to recharge). I'm done with cheap (around $12) stuff. It was all wasting of money and I always ended up with brush cleaning.   This handheld vacuum cleaner works fine. It is not as strong, but hopefully Black & Decker improves it over time. For light dirt, it works perfectly fine. If you have heavy soil dirt on your car carpet you may need more powerful one or you have to be a little patient; it will eventually get all that heavy soil. I am a dirt freak so it is helpful to have it in the car for a quick touch up.One thing I really like about this vacuum cleaner is that it comes with a hose and a brush, which is necessary for mobility. You can clean dirts on dash, door panels, instrumental panel, on and inside the seats, etc. For my car, I can just stick it in the cigarrett charger without put my car key in the ignition.In short, it is for what it worths and it can do a reasonable good job. 3/5 G.
