  The title claims that this filter is "by Dirt Devil." The picture shows a filter by Dirt Devil (green label & writing on top). But what was shipped was a knockoff by Crucial Vacuum.   Unlike certain other Dirt Devil owners, I checked the make and model number on my sweeper before ordering this filter. It works just fine! If you have one of the models above, don't hesitate to buy this filter.Amazon made this purchase easy.   After reading the previous reviews, I realized that the three of them all made the same mistake. They didn't check to make sure the filter would be compatible with the year and model of their cleaners.When I decided to buy my filter, I checked www.DirtDevil.com, looked at the sticker at the bottom of my vacuum, and checked three more sites. I only made my purchase after I was positive that I had the correct part. Apparently, the other reviewers did not.Before purchasing anything, make doubly sure it's the correct item. And if you aren't 100% positive, do some reasearch.   The prior reviews about the filter "not fitting" were freaking me out.After receiving the filter, I'm happy to report it fit my Dirt Devil Vision perfectly.In fact, it fits better than the original. It "squeaks" it's way onto the riser thus forming a perfect seal.Really glad I found this.   Perfect fit (unlike others sold on Amazon)

  These are fantastic. Like the title of my review says, these fit the canister perfectly, unlike many of the other filters sold on Amazon (I've purchase quite a few). The difference is that these have rubber bottom (not hard plastic) that essentially acts as a rubber washer where the filter affixes to the canister, creating a seal. The result is that my vacuum vacuums better than ever (phenomenal suction). I just vacuumed the bedroom today (Wednesday) after a thorough vacuuming on Sunday. It picked up a ton of dust/dirt/debris - we don't have kids and our dog is not allowed in the bedroom. So, I cannot imagine all that accumulated in about 4 days' time.   I was a little worried with some of the reviews saying that the filters did not fit tightly to the vacuum...but considering that I'd accidentally tossed the OEM filter that came with my Dirt Devil Featherlite and all replacement filters were really expensive, I decided to take my chances. I have to say I was ecstatic to find that the filter fit my vac nice and tight so I didn't have to do any modification to make it work. And now my vac works great if not better with a nice, new, clean filter. And it's great to know that I have another as backup when I wash one...or if I accidentally toss it again. :) 5/5 J.   I've died and gone to heaven!

  First let me say that I have a dog and 3 little girls with very thick hair. My family makes a lot of dust and sheds a lot of hair. I vacuum once a week, and I can clog up a HEPA filter in one use. It's ridiculous. The disposable filters at Wal-mart are $20 each. Vacuuming was going to bankrupt me. I purchased two of these at $5.95 each. I was skeptical about the "washable/re-usable" claim, but at $5.95 a piece I wouldn't be heartbroken if it turned out that the filters were only good for one use.Let me just say, "Wow!!!" I haven't even taken the second one out of the packaging yet! I rinse the filter out after every use in the kitchen sink with the sprayer and leave it out to dry. By the time I'm ready to vacuum again the next week; it's dry and just like new. The filter fits tightly on my Dirt Devil Breeze, and it feels really durable. I expect it will last a very long time.   The Breeze is a mixe bag(less) of good and not so good

  First off, how do you say "mixed bag" about a "bagless" vacuum? Well however you say it, here is my opinion on it - the good and the bad. I purchased mine as a second vac, and despite past nightmares with entry bagless vacs, wanted something I could empty after each occasional use vs. store away with a partly filled bag.On the pro side: This unit is VERY light in weight. Great for those with arthritis or anyone who is carrying a vacuum up and down stairs. What is not lightweight is the power - it definitely has good suction. I also like the slightly narrower width whem compared to most other vacuums - 13" wide vs the more common 15" wide may not seem like much, but this fits in narrow places yet is still a full power vac.On the neutral side: Emptying is easy, but like most entry level bagless units, the filter is a mess to deal with.   Built Like a Tank, Sounds Like One, Too!

  I've had my Dirt Devil Breeze for (3?+) years now (Obviously an older version but based on what I see from the picture nothing had changed much.) Bought this as replacement to a previous vacuum cleaner which had the "fan" (not sure if this is the correct word for it) that was in the path of the dirt (I believe that was a hoover). I used it to pick up some solid object and got stuck in the "fan" which caused it to break on me. The design of the breeze was a lot better since the filter catches objects before it gets to the suction mechanism. Overall, does what its supposed to do.Cons:- The exhaust out in front was definitely a design "duh". But you wouldn't realize it till you use it for picking up light material (e.g. small bird feathers).- Is there an easier way to switch from bottom suction to the onboard tools?- Emptying the canister is definitely a hassle (but sames me money in the long run)- *LOUD* And I cannot say this enough.   No problem with dirt trapping but inconvenient compared to the original DirtDevil version.

  I have no complaint about the dirt trapping ability of this unit. My problem is with the deviation of design from the original Dirt Devil filter. The original Dirt Devil filter has a horizontal bar going across the top, which makes it easy to twist it on/off the dirt container. This particular generic replacement does not have that bar. As a result, if you want to pour out the debris from the dirt container, you must use your fingers to pick/twist the lid of the dirt container. And, to remove the filter itself, you must use your hand to grab onto the bottom portion of the filter and twist it off the dirt container lid. I'm not saying that this is 100% unbearable dirty work (one could certainly do this with gloves on). However, I definitely prefer the Dirt Devil original design, which I can just use the cross bar to remove the filter or lid, without having to intimately holding onto the entire dirty filter.
