  Does nothing, right out of the box!

  My son loves all things to do with dogs, so he HAD to have the mini wrex dowg robot. I bought it for him, and surprised him today with it, and he rolled it around a bit before we went out and bought some batteries for it.. Once we did, the thing turns on, makes a motor noise, and appears to be TRYING to turn the wheels, but even with the toy up in the air, it just wiggles the wheels.. they dont turn at all. It appears that all this toy is meant to do is go forward, but ours didn't even do that, right out of the box..I'm glad my son loves dogs because he'll probably have as much fun just putting him where he wants a dog to be in his playing, but if you expect your toy to do more than "sit and stay" then this is not the toy for you.. Paid $6 at radio shack and feel ripped off..The legs do pose, so at least you can make him sit in the pose you want..-Steve 1/5 Stephen E.   Boring...

  Wrex spins around without direction...and that is it. He is the miniature version of another Wowee Wrex dog, so essentially he is a toy of another toy.   NOT durable

  My son got this toy as a gift for his birthday. He loved it and played with it for quite a while before we even put batteries in it. Once we did put batteries in, he rolled it around once or twice before turning it off for several house. When he tried to turn it on again, the wheels spun until we put it down on a flat surface. The little bit of friction between the wheels and the hardwood floor was suddenly too much for Wrex, and the wheels stopped moving. The motor was still whirring like crazy, but the dog didn't go anywhere. We even tried changing the batteries for brand new ones, but it didn't help. What a disappointment - he probably had it on for a total of five minutes throughout the day before it stopped working. 2/5 Happy Mother "a."   Fun for Older kids

  I just bought this for my nephew (8) and his little sister (4) and I was pretty excited about it (because they can't have a real dog and I thought this would be fun) but now I think I've made a bad choice. The dog itself is pretty cute but the voice on the dog is like a dude pretending to be Scooby Doo by using a lot of (sometimes hard to hear) words along with some fake dog noises. Some folks will really enjoy that, but I was expecting more dog-like noises and I think it will creep out my little neice. There is a good variety of poop humor in this toy which is also older kid stuff. Also, there is a reference to Oscar nominations for a very extreme "play dead" mode, which is way over a little kid's head.   robotic dog

  Rex is awesome and everything he said he was. He came quickly and looks great. I just wish they had a girl looking Rex as my girl was a little sad that Rex wasn't more "girlie". But.. he is awesome, funny, easy to use and program. Looks great, is a very "positive" toy and well worth the time we spent looking for him and the money we spent. I do recommend this guy to anyone looking for a remote control doggie. He moves very well, in all directions and does over 100 different things on command.He even acts for you, like playing dead, very funny and entertaining for kids and adults. 4/5 R.   reminds me of scooby-doo

  I received Wrex the Dawg yesterday for Christmas. He reminds me a lot of scooby-doo. He sounds like him, and his personality is like him innocent yet a little naughty. There are two ways to operate him. 1 is his large remote. 2 he has a number pad on his back to type the numbers for his commands. Here are a few of the things wrex does. He shakes, growls, plays dead, goes dizzy, slides, begs, charges, whistles, howls, and gets excited. He pretends to chase his tail, catch flies, take a wiz, pass gas, sneeze, bite, and dance. I do not feel he is meant to be a dog for someone that wants a real dog. He is more for someone that wants to laugh and be entertained. I like how I am in control, so I get to tell him what trick to do when. I do kind of wish some of his tricks were longer like chasing his tail.
