  Fun product, has limitations.

  It does a nice job mopping flat sealed surfaces, as long as you "scooba-proof" the room first. I did find that you can't let it roam around rooms as large as those you can let the Roomba go in, as Scooba does need to go over the same spot a few times to really get it clean, and also as the cycle is only 45 minutes. I also found that it can be much more temperamental than I expected, stopping mid-clean because it got stuck in a transition area (like between tile and wood), stuck on a flat rug it didn't detect, didn't like the amount of cleaner you put in, or needs the dirty water and filter's checked. I've also found it doesn't always obey the virtual walls. Unlike the Roomba, there is no mechanism for it to clean corners, so those you have to manually mop. It sucks up most of the water, leaving the floor in a damp-dry state - I read people saying the floor is dry, but that has never been the case with mine.   Best thing since sliced bread

  I've had my Scooba for about a month now and have been running it almost every day. I LOVE it. It gets my floors cleaner that I have ever been able to get them with a broom and mop. It was able to get up fine construction dust after our remodel that I could not clean up any other way. It cleans both my hardwood floors and my tile floors with grout. It scrubs the grout! No more scrubbing on my hands and knees! And it vaccuums up dust bunnies, pet hair, etc.--you don't have to sweep the floors before using it. In fact, I DON'T SWEEP MY FLOORS AT ALL ANYMORE! I don't have to--I just run my Scooba every day!You have to use the Clorox solution that comes with it to run it; IT WILL NOT RUN WITHOUT IT.   Beware of Metapo

  My Metapo Scooba battery performed well until two weeks before the warranty expired, when it died. I contacted Metapo by phone and they were VERY reluctant to take any action. First they indicated that I should wait two weeks and file a claim under the extended warranty that I had purchased. I said no, I had already contacted the extended warranty company and they said that it was Metapo's responsibility. Then Metapo argued about the actual length of the warranty. Finally they wanted copies of my purchase receipt and original warranty. I immediately emailed these documents to them. A month has passed and I've never heard from them again. If you buy the battery, you can expect to have to buy another one when it quits because if my experience is any indication of the integrity of this company, there will be no manufacturer support for any problems that you may have. 2/5 J.   Great Substitute

  We have owned our Scooba for three years and absolutely love our Scooba. Even though I love my Scooba I hate the battery because of its short life and how expensive it is to replace. I have ordered several replacement batteries from iRobot but had gotten frustrated with the amount of money we were spending on replacement batteries. I decided to take a chance on this replacement battery and I have been very happy that I did. The battery is only a fraction of the cost of the battery sold by iRobot but seems to work at least as well and maybe better. I have had the battery for almost 5 months and it is still working great.One issue that I have seen raised related to this battery which I think may be in error is related to its larger size which allegedly causes Scooba to not seal properly causing Scooba to not suck up the water from the floor.   So far the battery performs as well and possibly better then the original. No complaints! Have only used it a few times so I cannot judge it's longevity but it manages to do our whole downstairs without a recharge.   I am upgrading rating of this product from initial 1 to 4.5 star. The first shipment was a defect but the seller quickly arranged a product return and send a replacement at no charge. The new battery works great as advertised. Great customer service. It would have been 5 star if it wasn't a defect in the first place, but no one is perfect. Will definitely order from this seller in the future!--------------------------------------------Just received this new battery this week. Charged it, tried it out, and found the batterr was depleted after around 25 min run, with roughly 1/3 tank of water remained. I thought the poor performance might just because of its first use so I charged it again for 24 hour, tried it out again, and got the same result.   Ehh, Working, but not the best

  I ordered this battery about a month ago. I was hoping to find one that would last longer than the IRobot battery that died after a lot less time than they said it would (yet, just outside warranty, of course). It came in a box with nothing but the battery: no instructions or anything about it.The battery definitely functional, but doesn't fit quite right in the Scooba. I store it on its side in order to keep the wheels from going flat, and because the battery wasn't snapping in, it kept losing contact. I also had the problem when I tried to put it on the floor and run it. The tank no longer snaps in easily, and the battery just feels too tall for it.I have managed to make it work, and I even think I got it snapped in better after playing around with it for awhile, but I think I should have just bought the one IRobot makes.   iRobot batteries are terrible, I dissected one and found very low quality cells. After doing that I was certainly not going to buy any more batteries from iRobot!   This battery looks exactly like the original for my scooba 5800 and snapped into place with a solid click. It already had some charge, so I ran a full tank of solution and 10 minutes of another before it was depleted.I'm sure it will do much longer with a full charge, maybe I should have charged it before using but it did fine.It is supposed to be stronger than the original, which ran long enough but failed after I quit using it for a year. 5/5 Robert T.   Did Not Fit Right, Did not Last

  Bought one of these back in October. Charged it when I got the battery, and it worked fine. Then the Scooba was parked for several months with the battery removed. Started using the Scooba again a month ago. Everything fine. Used Scooba 3 times, Now the battery will not charge. Only 6 month warranty on Battery. I will buy my next one from iRobot.
