  Worth it just for the brush cleaner

  This set isn't cheap, but it's worth it. I've got a Roomba 565, which I usually love, but the amount of cleaning the device itself requires is sometimes frustrating. 'Course, if I didn't have 4 cats, it might be less... ;) This set helps releve that frustration somewhat. This set comes with 3 filters that are basically identical to what came with the Roomba itself, plus one of the little spinning brushes that helps pull stuff out from corners and the wall (interestingly, with only 3 brushes to it instead of the 5 or 6 the original had), plus a beater bar and brush set. But the real gem here is the little red plastic brush cleaner. I don't know if this ships with the newer Roombas or not, but it should - this little thing is great. What you do with it is run the large brush through it and it strips all the fur, string, threads, etc. that get caught in the brush out and allows them to be thrown away all in one clump.   Better Quality than Original Brush

  The brush in this kit was of better design than the original brush that came with my 500 series Roomba. It is a bit easier to clean and it seems as though not as much hair gets wrapped around the axle pin. It also feels as though the construction is more solid on this brush.   Do I "love" new Roomba brushes? Not really, but this kit made my Roomba perform almost like new. In fact, the brush seems much better designed than the original. The original had a pair of plastic plates and the rotating knob on the end that would fall off during cleaning, and broke. I fixed them a few times, and then decided to buy this kit.   Worth the money!!!!!!!!

  I have purchased this product for my Irobot Roomba about a week ago. I have been using the same filter for about 6 month cleaning the filter every week but decided it was time for me to replace them. First, I wasn't sure if it will be the right fit or the filter would have the sufficient threading to let just right amount of air through and catch all the dust. Once I have received this product, I was sure that it would do the job, and I was right. The filter fitted right in, and filteration thread wasnt too thin or thick. It didnt tear!!!!   OK, not great vacuum

  I've used the Roomba 610 and 560. I now have two refurbished 560s in our house, at the same price as one 610. And it's definitely a better value.Before I talk about the 610, let me share what's good and bad about Roombas in general, based on my experience with both the 560s and 610:Pros:- You don't have to vacuum, the Roomba does it for you- Scheduled cleanings so you don't even have to worry about it or be home to hear the noise- Floors stay clean without much effort- One button start it and forget about itCons:- Absolute pain in the butt to clean these things. There's the two brushes, the front wheel, the spinning brush (which requires a screwdriver to remove), and the dust bin. All of these must be disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled, at least once per cleaning session.- It's not effort free.   We have five pets. Three elderly long haired cats and two large short haired dogs. We recently upgraded to a new home with a cream colored carpet and a mix of tile and linoleum in an open floor plan. What was I thinking?   This thing is great!

  I got the professional series because I have a family of professional grade mess makers (kids, husband, pets, etc.). I love it! I think when people are dissatisfied with it they do not understand what it is and what it is not. It won't clean up an already neglected floor. You start with clean floors and then push a button everyday and let it run around your house doing upkeep and you won't have to vacuum anything except for behind items it can't get to once a month or so. Before my roomba I vacuumed 2 times a week and still dirt would show up on the bottom of peoples white socks. Since roomba no more dirt!!! It handles the cat fur and it even found an earring I lost over a year ago that must of been hiding someplace. The best part is it can get under things my vacuum never could reach. Yes, you have to know its limitations. It is a programmed device. You have to change something's around your home to work with it.   It's official: Less is More

  Like most reviewers here, I love my Roomba 550 (to the extent that a man can love a Horseshoe Crab, that is), but feel disgusted by the poor durability of the spinning side brush. The first 'arm' of the side brush broke off after just two weeks of use. Within two months, my Roomba was completely 'armless'. So I ordered this 3-pack one month ago.The new brush has only three 'arms' compared to six in the original design. This has alarmed some reviewers, who thought they have received counterfeit replacement parts. But according to the official iRobot web site, the three-arm version is indeed the new design. I was initially skeptical of whether three arms are better than six in terms of durability. But so far the new brush seems to be working just fine.   Works on the older Roombas too!

  I have the older Roomba Scheduler and also a Discovery and those come with the two brush shorter side brushes, not this one which has three brushes on the rotator. The brushes are a bit longer in this product which I thought might be a problem with the placement of it so close to the wheel, but it appears the old brush was also smacking up against the wheel anyway.   A necessary replacement (3 arms good, 5 arms bad)

  Anyone remembers Orwell's Animal Farm? :)))Like all good things in life, the helicopter Roomba brushes only last for so long. A time comes when they need to be replaced. In our case, there was in fact a transition period where our 5-arm helicopter became a 4-arm, then a 3-arm so we got the replacements. They were 3-arm brushes :). In all fairness, I can't say if they perform better or worse than the original, I'm just happy that our Roombas (got 2) are complete again in the way their maker wishes them to be.From a prospective buyer's point of view, it's probably important to testify that the replacements do work.   Before you decide whether you want to invest the money in a gutter cleaning "robot" do yourself a favor and measure your gutters to see if the Looj will fit. iRobot has a really convenient print out that shows the dimensions and will allow you to cut out the template to easily measure your gutter's width/depth and whether the Looj will make it under your gutter straps, nails or however they are hung. You can find it on iRobot's website in the Looj 125/135/155 product description. I had a link to the PDF but Amazon wouldn't let me include it in my review. Sorry.Once you know the device will fit in your gutter and won't get stuck, then read the reviews and decide if it's worth the money.For me, the Looj has done a great job on my gutters. It will, however, NOT save you ANY time and could potentially take longer than it would if you repositioned the ladder.   OKay, but definitely requires patience

  I have an older home with box gutters. The last time I was on the roof, the ladder moved as I tried to get off the roof which spooked me. A distant neighbor had a serious accident as well. As a result, I usually pay a roofer to clean the gutters. Unfortunately, they can take several weeks to come out and do the cleaning and I am an impatient person.On our house, the gutters are 40' from the ground, so there isn't a convenient way to use the looj from the ground.   Flings muck all over, doesn't necessarily fit all gutters

  After noticing that my new house had completely clogged gutters, I rushed to the computer to buy the Looj. I'm a huge iRobot fan, and the price point was low enough I didn't have to ask my wife's permission!I couldn't rush out and use "my new toy" because the battery takes 15 hours to charge.I just used it for the first time, and was pretty impressed. First-off, it is definitely NOT a toy. It's pretty darned effective, when it works.However, there were a few complicating factors.1) Some of my gutters are too thin for the Looj, so I have to do them by hand.2) The house has these nifty ice melting wires right on the edge of the shingles... and the Looj kept getting caught in them.
