Great Vaccum with cool upholstery
My 3 year old dirtdevil Vacuum cleaner gave up and I headed to the research room on Amazon to consider a replacement. After extensive research I zeroed in on this and Hoover 5507-900. Hoover was more expensive and did not have the tools and upholstery available on this Vacuum. I still had my doubts on Bissell hence I headed to Target to check the Vacuum myself. I was impressed with what I saw and I ordered this on Amazon.Out of the box this Vacuum was very easy to assemble and quite user friendly. The motor was very powerful and it cleaned the dirt from the carpet with ease. It also had adjustable knob for power variation and had one for bare-floor surfaces. The dirt container was very easy to replace and the extra dusting brush with extension wand made hard to reach places very easy to clean. Whats more this vacuum worked like charm on my Vacuum storage bags. It removed the air out of the bag in 30 seconds flat.I would definitely recommend this Vacuum cleaner... 5/5 Venkateswaran Tarakad (Matawan, NJ) - See all my reviews, September 24, 2009It passed the Black Sofa Test
The vacuum just came in. I took it out of the box, and it took all of two minutes to assemble. I ran it over the rugs of my two-bedroom apartment and it picked up everything in its path. I noticed the tank needed to be dumped more than my Hoover Wind Tunnel, but it's a good trade-off, because once the bottom of the Wind Tunnel's tank got full, it just gave up.What I was really looking to give it--being a pet owner--was the extreme test on my black, cloth, sofa. Unlike other vacuum's that come with a nozzle surrounded by brushes that just seem to push the pet hair around, this comes with a turbo brush, which is like a mini version of the vacuum's main turbo brush. It cleaned off the sofa in minutes and left it spotless.I know it's new, so as to how it wears, I can't tell you. But, I normally can tell within a few minutes whether I've spent well, or spent bad.I would say this was money well spent. 5/5 W. A. H. I wanted a second cleaner so that I wouldn't have to lug a machine between floors. This fits the bill as an upright and performs well. The vacuum hose is so short that it's a joke. I tried to use the attachments once and its a waste of time. In addition, dirt was exhausted from the storage port for the hose. Unbelieveable! The handle is nothing but a cheap piece of molded plastic. The electical cord is attached to the middle of the machine, as is the on/off switch. This results in a lot of stooping to turn the cleaner on or off and you must hold the cord, else you will step on it.The vacuum has 3 filters, two of which can be cleaned with soap and water. After a month the HEPA filter shows no accumulation and will not need replacement for a long time. The filtering system is efficient - there is no evidence that any dirt is returned to the room.Since everything that is sucked up is visible frequent emptying and filter cleaned is encouraged. A good thing. Bottom... 3/5 Paul R. Herholz Jr. (Northern Virginia) - See all my reviews, November 21, 2009

BISSELL FeatherWeight Vacuum, Bagless, 3106B / 3106-1
Home (Bissell)
List Price: $29.99
My favorite house-cleaning tool.
I have used this every day for years (I can't remember how many--but at least four years). I recently bought a new one only because I was afraid of scratching my floors due to the rollers not turning as well as they had before. I moved the old one down to my basement work area, and use the new one in the main living areas.I have three dogs (previously four) and two house rabbits, all of whom go through times of heavy shedding. During those times I sometimes vacuum certain areas twice a day. There has never been any maintenance problem with this vacuum cleaner. The suction is strong enough for me to do my rag rugs and area rugs, and the rollers don't scratch my wood floors. It's easy on my back, conveniently converts to a hand vac, and is easy to take out and use at a moment's notice (no tedious unwinding of long cord). One reviewer did write that this vacuum is hard to clean. I clean mine by dumping the bulk of the debris into the trash, then vacuuming the... 5/5 Ruth Henriquez Lyon (Duluth, Minnesota USA) - See all my reviews, July 28, 2010An Excellent Second Vacuum Cleaner
My wife and I are very, very pleased with this lightweight vacuum cleaner. I should like to tell you how we came to buy it and why we are so happy with the purchase.Recently my wife stated that she wanted a second lightweight vacuum cleaner for quick touch-ups in addition to our two main s. (We live in a two-story house and keep one of these relatively heavy vacuum cleaners on each level.)We saw a advertised at a very low price (even lower than Amazon's!) at a local "big-box" store but after doing some research here on Amazon, we saw so many customer complaints about this product (even from some... 5/5 Lawrence H. and that's a good thing... i have this model, a 3106-1 - the Bissell Featherweight Bagless, and a very similar model from the same manufacturer (both are made in China), the 38B1-3 - the Bissell 3-in-1 Vac...these are nearly identical and cost exactly the same locally and on-line... i say 'nearly identical,' as they weigh the same, have the same length cord, share the same ergonomics (handle, cord storage, assembly, emptying, etc.), and similar suction...rest assured that this model will work just as well, if not better than the 3-in-1... but here are the differences:- this model has a 1.2A motor, whereas the 3-in-1 has a 2A motor - nod to 3-in-1- both models come with a crevice tool, as does the 3-in-1 - even score- this model has an opaque canister, so you cannot see how much dirt has been vac'd, whereas the 3-in-1 is translucent - nod to 3-in-1 - one star off on my review- both models are easy to empty - even... 3/5 willie "roadie" (pineapple park, FL, USA) - See all my reviews, October 1, 2010Perfect for carpets, hard floors and upholsteryLightweight vacuum great for quick cleanup of everyday messesIncludes 1.2 amps; includes 16-foot power cordEasily converts into a hand vacuumShips in Certified Frustration-Free Packaging -

Bissell 21K3 Vacuum
After owning Eurekas for over 30 years, I decided to try this Bissell when my latest Eureka died. I did quite a bit of research and liked many of the features for this machine. I also liked the pricetag of $99.99. The main selling point for me was the "extra long power cord". I live in a medium-small apartment and the cord on my last two Eurekas was just about 3 feet too short. The cord on this Bissell is at least 5 feet SHORTER than that. The suction is fine; as you'd expect from any brand new vacuum but the dust cup is quite small and needed to be emptied several times (like, 5 or 6) while I was vacuuming my apartment. With my old Eureka, I just emptied it when I was finished with the job. We do have three cats that contribute to the problem. My favorite thing about this Bissell is the handle on the hose. It detaches very easily and the extension wand is handy and clicks in place.I'd say, if you don't have pets and you don't mind changing outlets mid-job and... 3/5 L. Good power; light weight; tools very good; washable filters; I am very impressed with the value of this unit, and was completely grossed-out by what I saw in the filter; the point being, it stayed in the filter! I have been using vacuum cleaners for over 30 years, and find this one to be an excellent value, and very easy to use. 5/5 P. Michael Husselbee (USA) - See all my reviews, January 17, 2010Awesome for pet hair!
This is a great vacuum. I don't have much carpet, but after seeing how much I picked up on the rug I vacuumed the whole house on the bare floor setting. The hose is also super easy to use and great for getting the hair in the tight spaces between the kitchen table and chair legs. I have two large dogs and keeping my floors clean is so much easier. Also, the visual reminder of how much I'm collecting is a real incentive to vacuum more frequently. 5/5 Kirsten "Kirsten" (Wisconsin) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) BISSELL Zing Canister Bagless Vacuum, 10M2
Home (Bissell)
List Price: $69.99
Good choice for small areas/hard floors; bagged versions also available
I needed a very compact vac to use mainly in the bathroom to clean up after haircuts. I've been using a cordless model but lacked the power to get the job done to my satisfaction. So, the hunt began for a compact corded model.I looked at several hand-held units that offered a hose attachment. But, while they would have been fine for counter top work, I would have had to crouch or kneel down to get the floor done. Stick brooms would work fine on the floor, but didn't have the attachments for counter work. That left a canister. I have several other Bissell products that have worked well, so thought I'd give the Zing a shot. Overall, it's an excellent product considering the price. The suction power is outstanding - I'd put it on a par with my Panasonic cannister vac that cost much, much more. In fact, the suction is a little too good - it will easily suck up hair cutting attachments if you're not careful. Zero complaints in terms of power. No complaints... 4/5 Comdet - See all my reviews, April 17, 2011The floor attachment needs a better design
I'll start by saying this vacuum is NOT for carpets, period. It doesn't have any kind of beater bar and doesn't glide over carpet at all. I got this to do quick post-toddler dinner clean ups. The vacuum unit itself has a good design and plenty of suction. It is lightweight and would be great to carry around using the hose itself to clean nooks and crannies, but this ability is limited to nooks and crannies since it is blatantly missing a drapery or upholstery attachment. After going across my hardwood floors it sucked up quite a bit of dirt and lint & I didn't think my floors were that dirty. My complaint is that the floor attachment needs to be redesigned, which is too bad because it's primarily why I bought this unit. The part that slides accross the floor is maybe 8 inches wide or so, but really only the middle maybe 2 inches has a hole for suction. The rest of it doesn't, well, suck. There's not even an opening for it. I'm not sure why the thing is even 8 inches wide, it could... 3/5 Katie Kate "Kate" - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I am a young bachelor who hates vacuuming and hates schlepping a vacuum up the spiral staircase to the third floor. This little vacuum made both of those activities relatively painless. It is extremely lightweight but still sucks well (in layman's terms) on both carpet and hardwood floors. It also doesn't take up much closet space. The only fault I can find with this vacuum is that there is no place to clip on the one alternate attachment, but it's a very minor issue. I would heartily recommend this vacuum to anyone, but especially to housework-haters like myself, college students, and elderly or petite people looking for a very lightweight, easily portable vacuum. 5/5 Anonymous - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This thing really works!!
Okay. I've bought just about every hardwood floor cleaner out there. I have 2,000 sq. ft. of hardwood and tile floors and I'm sick and tired of cleaning them. Guess I'm looking for a unit that will clean up without me getting involved. Not gonna happen. I won't bore you with all the stuff I've tried, but Swiffer, Bona, Hoover, and various iterations of Bissell [including the new gadget that's supposed to mop and then steam all in one unit (doesn't deliver - had the original steam mop - loved it)] are sitting in my closet (oh yeah, can't forget the sharks - several of those including steamers - no go.) Anyway, as a last ditch effort I tried this Poweredge thing. Guess what - it seems to really do the job. The suction is great. LOVE IT!!! Trust me - I've tried them all. ... but this thing really sucks up the stuff on the floor and I can walk barefoot and not feel grit. I give it 5 stars! I'm tossing the junk in the closet and keeping the Poweredge. Well, at least until something new and... i have come back to say i returned the vacuum and changed my rating from 5 stars to three. here is my first 5 star review-"well, first i must say, this has alot of power for a stick vac. it literally has suction to the floor unlike most stick vacs. considering its strength, it is still very light and takes up very little space. the cup is very easy to empty. its has a nice handle area making it a snap to move around. the cord is average for most stick vacs. the base is def something you need to get used to when up against the wall, but so far its been good. i do wonder how it would do if i were to spill something by the baseboard though. the vacuum manuevers very well, but at times, its almost too much. it literally can move all different directions, which sometimes can get move more than you wanted. but i am being picky, the power on this stick vacuum makes up for any little criticisms one may have."since using the vacuum, i still stand by my above, but... 3/5 ami - See all my reviews This review is from: BISSELL PowerEdge Hard Floor Vacuum, 81L2 (Kitchen) i have come back to say i returned the vacuum and changed my rating from 5 stars to three. here is my first 5 star review-"well, first i must say, this has alot of power for a stick vac. it literally has suction to the floor unlike most stick vacs. considering its strength, it is still very light and takes up very little space. the cup is very easy to empty. its has a nice handle area making it a snap to move around. the cord is average for most stick vacs. the base is def something you need to get used to when up against the wall, but so far its been good. i do wonder how it would do if i were to spill something by the baseboard though. the vacuum manuevers very well, but at times, its almost too much. it literally can move all different directions, which sometimes can get move more than you wanted. but i am being picky, the power on this stick vacuum makes up for any little criticisms one may have."since using the vacuum, i still stand by my above, but... Starting this review off, I want to say this is a must have for hard wood floors (linoleum, kitchen, tile etc). Think having a vacuum in the house is a necessary appliance? This vacuum is a must have addition that is limited to only hard floors. Oh yea, this does rugs too. With this, there is no need for a broom.Usually when you think of using a regular house vacuum in , say, the kitchen, you picture hauling a 15 pound machine as it bulldozes its way around corners and tables, just to get those little pieces of crumbs and dirt off the floor. What is different with the 4 pound PowerEdge is there is no 'hauling', there is only 'lifting'--which can be done with one finger. With lightweight vacuums (trust me I had a 100$ one that doubled as a dustbuster), you think low suction, and a device that sits more than it gets put to use. Not an issue with the PowerEdge. It seems to have the power of a heavy duty vacuum without the size (the suction actually pulls the... 5/5 Canis Majoris - See all my reviews, February 11, 2011

Couldn't Be Happier With My Hoover Vacuum Cleaner
I previously had a Hoover Windtunnel, it lasted two houses and over 9 years and it finally had enough of keeping up with our two children and 4 pets. So I went out to every website I could find with reviews on vacuum cleaners, including Amazon, and looked at everything from the Dyson, Kenmore, Dirt Devil, Hoover, and so many more. I promised myself that after I used my vacuum cleaner for 3 months I would help all those out there like me looking for a good review and let them know about my experience because the reviews were so helpful to me.So after reading a bunch of reviews I was leaning towards a Dyson or a Kenmore Progressive. Well my friend had a Dirt Devil M140005 Vision Cyclonic 12 Amp Upright Vacuum Cleaner, a Kenmore Progressive Upright Vacuum, and a canister vacuum cleaner (forgot the brand) that she let me test out. Let's just say I hated all three, the Dirt Devil was a joke, the Kenmore was so heavy and a pain to use, the canister was a pain to use and none of... 4/5 Charlotte Mom "CharlotteMom" (Charlotte, NC United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Rewind Upright Vacuum, Bagless, UH70120 (Kitchen) I previously had a Hoover Windtunnel, it lasted two houses and over 9 years and it finally had enough of keeping up with our two children and 4 pets. I love this vacuum! It is one of the best purchases I've ever made.PROS:* Picks up so much hidden dirt in our thick carpet, it scared us the first time we looked in the canister!* For how much power it has, it is actually very quiet - actually quieter than our old 10 amp vacuum* Turns on a dime and gets into nooks and crannies really well - we don't have to use the hand tools on every single wall edge* The attachment with moving brushes cleans stares amazingly well* No filters or bags to buy - this is a huge plus as we could never find a replacement filter for our old vacuum* The cord is very long and it retracts into the vacuum. Wow. I find wrapping up long cords so annoying. Having this cord self retract is actually kind of fun (ok, so I'm easily amused!)* The color is trendy.* It is fairly lightweight* I like that you can adjust the height for different carpet lengths. I know that this isn't really a groundbreaking... 5/5 Mr. Rohwer "English Teacher" (Utah) - See all my reviews This review is from: Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Rewind Upright Vacuum, Bagless, UH70120 (Kitchen) I love this vacuum! I bought this vac and owned it just a few days and returned it. It is an excellent design and has superior suction but is not good for wood floors as the brush roll has no shutoff. That means when you're using the attachments or vacuuming wood floors, the brush roll is on and spinning. If the vac is on, the brushroll is on. Silly, really. Why spin the brushes on hardwood? Sure I could adjust the height adjustment but it's still silly to risk damage to your wood floors. Even Hoover's manual says "For optimal cleaning performance on bare floors, brushroll should be turned off." (Suction only mode only available on select models).I rather pay more for a vacuum that has the ability to turn that off - and I did - I bought it's "brother" the hoover Windtunnel "PET" UH70210 which has 3 additional features. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? , November 5, 2007Change the belt!
Belt fits perfectly. Beater bar runs like new. I recomend, as soon as it starts to slip...change the belt, it will give the vacuum the best chance to operate the way it should and save frustration for you. I might even do it by time. Put a new belt on, if it starts to slip in two years, then next time in 20 months + or - put a new one on and save the headache of planning on running the vacuum to get ready for guests, etc. and finding out you have to stop and do that! Also, take that cue to clean the beater bar, hoses, filters, etc. Simply cleaning all the junk out will make your vac seem brand new. The older Bissell that my wife bought a while ago works great, but looks like something out of a Mad Max movie, with a thousand little nooks & crannies for hair and pen tops and pieces of plastic bag to get caught in. Before you buy a new one...take it apart, clean it out and put a new belt on. The belts are cheap! 5/5 J. Gardner "Reeboy" (N.J.) - See all my reviews, February 22, 2010Horrible ruined my vacuum
I purchased this as a replacement for belt 9 #32074. Snapped, started smoking after 2 minutes of use and left rubber particles all over my house. THIS IS NOT SUITABLE REPLACEMENT FOR BELT 9. Little sucker could suck a golfball thru a garden hose
This little sucker is unbelievable. The power is fantastic, the torque from the motor actually makes the vacuum jump in your hand when you flip the on switch.I have a couch in my basement that is the favorite place for my two cats to sleep. The couch had so much hair on it that the couch looked grey instead of purple. I spent 5 minutes with the pet hair eraser and the couch was literally hair free. The rubber attachment on the front works way better than motorized brushes that quickly clog with hair. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is a little loud, but I guess with power comes a little extra noise. I love this little vac, why pay all that money for a Dyson when this little guy works great!Edit: The one and only thing I don't like about the vac is the way the air coming out of the unit sometimes blows the hair into the air if you're not careful how you position the machine while you use it. Although considering how much air this... 5/5 Erick Van De Burg "F'ing pissed" (Holland, MI United States) - See all my reviews, November 20, 2008Awesome little vacuum

Bissell No 7 Filter
My upright vac was beginning to blow some foul odors. When I removed the old filter it was dirty and brown. Time to replace the post-motor HEPA filter. The new Filter arrived in good condition and was a genuine Bissell. The filter is sturdy and should last a while. Before replacing the HEPA filter, I cleaned the air outlet with a sanitizing wipe. A quick change and the vac is as good as new.Be sure to clean the other two "sponge type" filters (if your vac has them) for peak performance. 5/5 Larry (Lilburn, Georgia United States) - See all my reviews, June 12, 2009Receive a "Crucial" brand filter that does not fit.
Apparently, from the reviews and images posted for this product, not everyone is receiving the same product. I received two "Crucial Vacuum" branded filters when I ordered this item (Bissell HEPA Media Filter, 32076).As noted in the review of the Crucial filters, , these filters are notably short (~1.8mm). Numerically, this may seem like a small difference in tolerances, but it allows a significant amount of air leakage through these gaps. 1/5 E. Bennett "e8" (WI, USA) - See all my reviews, October 30, 2010Works great!
I hadn't realized that I needed to change this filter frequently. I was cleaning the other filters and emptying and washing the canister that collected the main dust and debris. The vacuum was still sucking up a lot of stuff, but the HEPA filtration didn't seem to be working. I ordered this product, which came within a few days, and easily replaced it (make sure you have it facing in the correct direction). Instant success! I will replace it more often now, but probably not at the recommended 6 month intervals because my vacuum is not used as much as most and the house is small. 5/5 S. Our old Dirt Devil upright started giving off some burning smells (not the brush belt) a couple of weeks ago, so we decided to start looking around for a replacement. We have a two story house, so something to effectively vacuum the stairs without purchasing two units would be nice. Oh, and under $200 please. Dyson's are cute, but $500 is over the top for such a basic device. That led us eventually to Bissell's two lift-off canister units, the Revolution and this one, the MultiCyclonic design.Initially, I couldn't tell the difference between the two models. Then, another reviewer pointed out the two "wings" on the side of the dirt container on the Revolution model that one customer accidentally threw its two inserts out with the dirt, only to render his vacuum useless the next time he tried to use it. That narrowed it down to the MultiCyclonic for us. The Revolution also has an additional foam filter to be cleaned in its top section, which the MultiCyclonic doesn't... 5/5 Paul D. I bought this vacuum after my old Bissell died. So far I have been pretty impressed with it. The canister lift off feature is great for cleaning stairs or vacuuming your car. I was a little skeptical about the pet hair turbo attachment but it actually worked very well. I have two long haired cats (Maine Coons, so there's a lot of fur!) and the turbo brush attachment got up pet fur from places I had just vacuumed with my previous machine! It is a bagless canister, and if you've ever had a vacuum like that you know it can get messy. It doesn't seem any worse than any other bagless I've had though. As long as you empty them out before getting too full its not a big deal.Another feature that I really like is that you can turn the brushes off with a separate switch; there is a power switch and a brush switch. It is nice to be able to turn off brushes if you are trying to pick up debris on a bare floor (cat litter) and if you are using the wand attachments.I gave the... 4/5 Erin R.
